Boukouvalas Mimis Tassos
A symbol of the local national cause. He participated in one of the most important periods of the long history of the town of Larissa and worked hard to help it adjust after the difficult days of slavery.
He was a major, commander and commander in chief of the cavalry regiment that was established on 14/10/1943 at Pirgos village (Kapas) of Karditsa, with italian horses.
He played a decisive role in the execution of the decision to disband the gang of Kostopoulei-Antonopouli. During the battle, Boukouvalas also undertook the connections with the organisations of the villages and the telephone communications of the administration with the reservist guards of ELAS.
