The Municipal Enterprise of Tourism Culture of Larissa (D.E.T.P.O.L.) was founded in 1988 with the decision of the Administrative Council during Aristidis Lamproulis mayorship and it began to function in 1989.

Its first activities were the operation of the Municipal Radio, the Municipal Ballet School, the club "MILOS 1927", as well as the out door parking areas and the operation of refreshment stands in the “Kipotheatro”, in the Aesthetic Grove, in the square of ATA and in the park of Saint Antonios.
