Damianos Voulgarakis

Psyrras Thomas, Literature in Larissa (19th to 21st century), Draft, Larissa, 2008.

print preview

Larissian journalist Damianos Voulgarakis wrote in a naturalistic manner. Around 1945, he published the study “Thessalian Bazaar” and tries to underline the interest that ethnographic themes could have for the local socio-cultural practices.

His poetry is very close to the new symbolism and new romanticism as they were uttered through the tradition of other important poets like Tellos Agras and Kostas Ouranis. Later, he liberates himself of the above influences and his style is transformed into a modern one.

His works have been published and they are available only in Greek language.
