In the same period and context of Apostolis Spilios (Koltsidopoulos) lived and created Michalis Papaionannou (1912- 1995). Michalis Papaioannou was born in Larissa and he was a civil servant from 1928 to 1939. Afterwards, he worked in construction companies.
After the Second World War, he was editor in newspapers of National Unity of Resistance (EAM) and external collaborator of other Athenian newspapers. During dictatorship of 1973 he lived in exile in France.
He edited many publications for poetry.
Ο Μ.Μ. Papaioannou was an important book reviewer and critic of new Greek literature. With his work, he influenced deeply the Greek sociological literary critique.
He wrote many literary studies, short stories, book reviews that have been published and they are available in Greek language.
